What is Mynting?

Mynting a bag refers to the creation of a public record of authenticity and provenance. A bag is Mynted when our community members reach a consensus that the bag is authentic.

Why should I Mynt my bag?

Mynting your bag protects your investment and makes it easier than ever to monetize. For example:

• Sell a Mynted bag on Mynt Condition without traditional commission.
• Earn a royalty payment any time a future owner sells one of your Mynted bags on Mynt Condition.
• Set a Mynted bag to “open to offers” without listing it for sale so that you can enjoy your bag without missing out on potential monetization opportunities.
• Publicly validate the authenticity of a recent purchase.

How can you Mynt bags without trained authenticators?

There is no official training to become a “trained” authenticator, which means that some trained authenticators are highly skilled and some are not. We recognize that there are many enthusiasts, collectors, and experts who have not received official training, but have dedicated countless hours to studying luxury bags. We offer this group the opportunity to apply their knowledge for the recognition and compensation they deserve.

How do you compensate community members for helping to Mynt bags?

We compensate community members with points for their contributions to the Mynting process. Points can be applied like cash toward transactions on Mynt Condition.

What if people intentionally vote to Mynt bags they know are not authentic?

The short answer is that because we take a consensus-driven approach to authentication, no individual is able to tip the scales on the final result. The longer answer is that Mynt Condition tracks the contributions of every member, and those with questionable contributions will be removed from the platform.

Why do you need my phone number?

The trustworthiness of community authentication relies on the community being made up of real people. Requiring a mobile number to create an account greatly reduces the probability of both fake and duplicate accounts. (See question above.)

When will I be able to sell my Mynted bag on Mynt Condition?

Once we have streamlined the Mynting process, we will launch full functionality with the ability to shop and sell Mynted bags. The more bags you submit and bags you vote on, the faster we’ll get there.
